Artist's Comments

This lovely scene is one of my favorite places on earth. It may be a bit grainy because of the fog present when I took the photo...It was originally taken in color but I liked the way it looked black and white. I am no photographer by any stretch of the imagination but I sometimes see things behind the camera that I save for later painting, but usually have no time to paint them. So I hope those of you who are photographers and good ones at that, forgive my amatuer(sp) status :D

EDIT: I am totally and completely floored that so many people have faved and looked at this photograph! I have had more response to this photo than I have anything else in my gallery! Thank you! :)

This is wonderful. I like how the trees in the back look like they are pointing to the right. It sort of directs you into the pic and around the bend.

I don't really see any grain in the shot. The fog tends to desaturate the background, which just gives it more depth.

Oh I really love this. It looks like it leads to a magic land.

When I first saw this picture I honestly thought it was a photo that you 'found' and liked or something like that. I honestly didn't know until I read your description that this photo is your own masterwork. Or Natures Materwork and your amazing capturing abilities. The trees almost look plastic (in the good "mood setting" sense) Like out of an old childrens tale of a witch. I can't describe it very well but I do know that this picture is amazing and an instant ~fav for me! Thanks for sharing ~ as usual;)

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world? What about the hand that robs the cradle?

It was once told in Symmyrnea... That whoever would talk to pine barks in the forest, write the mystery on the sea with ancient woods and take those faces to the isolated rocks on an island, would find the road to OEGGEM. And...(the end is the beginning)
